What is the best moisturiser for oily skin?? Have looked at Effaclar H, Effaclar Mat. Body shop vitamin e cream looks good but might be too greasy. Any other suggestion?

Clinique dramatically different. Of you go to the counter they will help you find the best thing for your skin and will give a sample if you ask so you can see if it works for you Smile

Boots No 7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream for normal/oily skin is excellent, I find.

SleepyMcgee · 14/11/2014 19:08

Yep I also use Clinique Dramatically Different (the 3 step thing). The moisturiser I use is the gel rather than the lotion (which brought me out in spots)

yazzy85 · 14/11/2014 22:00

Thanks. I will look into the clinique gel one.

I have oily combination skin and have just re bought Ren Clarimatte. It's moisturising enough but not heavy and leaves my skin really smooth...

OooOooTheMonkey · 14/11/2014 23:08

I really like the sanctuary spa one, really good if you're oily and blemish prone like me. Also no7 blemish solver serum. Smile

FishCalledWonder · 14/11/2014 23:19

The only moisturiser I have ever found that stops my face from being shiny and oily but doesn't dry it out is this one. I know it is ridiculously expensive, and I don't normally spend silly money on anything, but it actually works! It's anti-ageing AND sorts out my greasy forehead! The cleansing wash and toner are great too.

yazzy85 · 14/11/2014 23:36

Fish - that looks lush but I don't have the budget Envy

OooOooTheMonkey can you please share which sanctuary one you are using?? Their stuff is usually quite nice Smile

I'm loving the new neutrogena water gel one with hydraulon... Fab for my oily skin.

VarsityQueen · 15/11/2014 13:58

Pro collagen marine cream from Elemis. Can normally get it cheaper on eBay or in QVC deals

OooOooTheMonkey · 15/11/2014 22:53

Skin Matifying Hydra Lotion. It's lovely, non greasy but v moisturising. Smile

OooOooTheMonkey · 15/11/2014 22:54

Oh and it's a bargain at about £9. Usually on 3 for 2. I use the cleanser and toner in the same range too Smile

HazleNutt · 16/11/2014 08:37

Dr Hauschka normalising oil.

I used to use face washes and cream for oily skin and my face always looked spotty and shiny. Been using a Simple face wash for sensitive skin and their brightening moisturiser and my skin is great now. No blackheads, no visible pores :)

badfurday · 16/11/2014 13:33

I use the oil control one from simple, the only thing that works for me. I use the cleanser and toner as well before hand ( on off in sainsburys at the moment) and my skin is oil free and blemish free. It's a great base for make up.

SugarPlumpFairy3 · 16/11/2014 13:34

Liz Earle worked for me.

FamiliesShareGerms · 16/11/2014 19:15

Nivea oil free cream / lotion works for me, but is surprisingly hard to find sometimes

cheeseismydownfall · 17/11/2014 07:10

I like soap & glory's The Fab Pore.

Floisme · 17/11/2014 07:18

When I had oily skin I used Olay Beauty Fluid. It was called 'Oil of Ulay' then but I'm pretty sure they still do it.

But looking back, I wonder whether I really needed anything at all (apart from sunscreen). All over-the-counter moisturiser really does is plump out your skin and make it feel softer. If it's already soft and producing its own oil, why not just use sunscreen?

yazzy85 · 17/11/2014 15:50

my skin breaks out very easily so I am looking for something that will work with oily breakout prone skin, nothing too heavy

I have combination skin and use a BB cream rather than separate moisturiser and foundation. Currently using Bourjois CC cream after seeing it recommended on here, although I think I prefer Maybelline's version ...

avagosling · 17/11/2014 16:17

Jojoba oil is great as a moisturizer, has helped to balance my skin. Also oil cleansing method

Bexicles · 17/11/2014 16:21

I use one by Avene, it's oil free and has an spf of 20. It doesn't break me out and I have quite sensitive skin.

Lunastarfish · 17/11/2014 16:28

I use Nivea Visage light daily moisturising cream. Its £3.99 rrp but always on offer somewhere for £1.99. It's SPF 15 too. I also like last Roche posay for oily skin moisturisers but nivea is much cheaper.

At night I use Neal yard's frankincense oil. Oil on oil = clearer skin

textbook · 17/11/2014 20:56

I second the Elemis recommendation - I have skin like an oil slick, but this is easily absorbed and totally non-greasy.
