She tells me I have completely stuffed up my hair by using shop bought colour. I have to agree with her. It used to be all soft and shiny and I could blow dry it easily. Its not like that now. And why, because I keep dying it because I cant stand this horrible orange glow that I permanently seem to have.
I had never coloured my hair until about two years ago. I have to say I think it was the biggest mistake ever. I cannot abide seeing different colour roots, so when the roots starting showing, I would dye it again (about 6 weeks, sometimes 4...)
So she says I need treatments (protein and moisture) and then to get a salon colour, then roots only in 2nd month, then full colour again. Argh I don't want to keep colouring it, my natural colour isn't all that bad anyway (auburny brown). No matter what colour I put on it or what coloured shampoo I use, within a week or so, it seems to have 'washed out' .
As a last resort I put the non permanent Clairol on the other day which washes out in 25 or so washes, been washed two times and its washed out already. So although it was an ash colour, the flipping orange is back again.
It feels like I am in a vicious circle now. I just want my normal natural hair back again. Without cutting the whole lot off, what else can I do??
The colours I would home dye with were usually always a brown shade which I tried to get the closest to my natural colour. Its not even like I was bleaching it blonde or anything like that....
I know there are worse dilemma's in life, but I hate the way I look right now because of my hair...
