i have always had really long hair, talking down past my waist here, went for a trim today and in a moment of madness have had most of it chopped off!! its now shoulder length in a choppy trendy style and im not sure i like it! i did at first but now it doesnt feel like my hair!

and dd cried when i picked her up from nursery as i didnt look like mummy!!

has anyone else had a mad moment and done this!

yes, i was 17. it has been short ever since - it was so liberating

wait til the compliments start flooding in, then you'll feel better.

It ought to be a shock and feel weirf for a while, but give it a few days. I bet you will love it!

Don't worry, dd will soon get used to it. I remember when my sil had her hair permed and, thinking she looked the bees knees, went to pick up her dd from nursery. Dd looked at her disdainfully and asked "what's that thing on your head"?

oh yes and not of my choice. Mine started mid back and a two inch trim ended up round my neck. I didnt go out for days. I felt like a 50 year old.

Having said that I had a radical cut the other day. Started mid back length and in a moment of madness said short at the back and long and choppy at the front . I love it.

You may just need a couple of days to get used to it.
