Should I go back to hairdresser?

I had blonde highlights for years. The other month I went pretty dark.. It was a bit severe so went back to hairdressers last week to get highlights put it.

The first time it looked exactly (they did use bleach) the same as when I'd gone in, so I asked them to do it again. It now looks light brown. It cost me £77 and I'm still not blonde!!!

They said because of the condition I would need to wait 6 weeks before I could get anything else done (and pay for it), but I don't think it's in too bad a condition...

Should I go back again?

If they say your hair is in bad condition I'd listen - if it's overly porous or brittle it will snap and/or the colour will be patchy.

If your hair has been over processed and dyed loads the bleach may have taken longer to get through the colour build up, causing it to be a darker result than desired. I'd leave your hair to rest!

Think about it - why would they make you wait 6 weeks if it was unnecessary - if they just wanted your money then they would have just done it again straight away.

Don't put more bleach in it. It could start breaking off.

Definitely wait. In the meantime, soak your hair in coconut oil overnight every week before washing out, and use protein rich conditioner. This will help strengthen your hair again.

I bleached my hair myself a couple of years ago and ran to the hairdresser for them to sort it out - I had to go three times over a few month period before it was a colour I was happy with, like you I was told to wait til it was in better condition before they used aggressive colour on it (like bleach)

I'd listen to your hairdresser. If they could have got it blonde then they would have. You could end up bald like i did if you bleach it again.
