Want to buy my sister a dress - loves cath kidston/1950s any ideas?

My sister is a lovely size eight with small boobs, which she's very self conscious about, and a cracking slim figure. I'd love to buy her a dress for a birthday in a few weeks as she's just had two children and can't afford to spend money on treats for herself.

She has a lovely cath kidston dress and a hell bunny dress too. The stuff in cath kidston at the moment I know she wouldn't like. She's quite into cute girly stuff. She loves to go to Brighton to go clothes shopping but this is miles and miles away from us. I, on the other hand, know nothing about fashion and hate shopping.

What brands should I be looking out for? If you could give me some names I can google and get something online. At least she would effectively have a 'voucher' for a dress if I failed.

Trollied Dolly do gorgeous retro inspired dresses?

They're very quirky and pretty and not hugely expensive. I have quite a few Grin .

Get Cutie. Think they have a shop on Brighton.

Love Camden - stocked on amazon, and I'd say a good fit for smaller boobs

LadyVLondon. Fabulous!

Wow, what fabulous clothes, thank you ladies - I'm spoilt for choice as I know my sister would love all these. I love Yumi and have been looking at those gorgeous dresses. Nearly bought one but am a few months of maternity leave so they won't fit for a while!

Oooh - when I was in London recently I saw some lovely frocks from The Pretty Dress company. All depends on your budget I guess. What a thoughtful sister you are Grin.

Lady V have a sale on right now. My postnatal figure is the only thing saving my bank account Grin

Brilliant suggestions ladies! I think my dh would probably not think the same after how many dresses I've just bought! Beautiful dresses and OP I'm a similar build to your sister and find that some 50s dresses do seem to think you have rather larger chest areas! So hopefully these don't do the same!

It was in camden, next to the irregular choice shop. Not sure of street names as I was just visiting. The dress I liked was cheaper there than on the website too.
