Jacket/coat to go with this dress?

I'd like to buy this dress but am unsure what I would wear over it - jacket, cardigan, coat type thing? I have no idea. I'm not very fashionable , but I would like to be!

I'm a 22/24 but I don't know if I have a shape, per say (apart from lumpy). My shoulders are about the same width as my hips, maybe a bit wider. I have small boobs (or smaller than the makers of plus-size dresses think I should have) and not much of waist due to the aforementioned lumpiness.

I liked the look of the fur coat on another lindy bop thread, but I don't think I'd be stylish enough to pull it off!

The only thing I could imagine with that is a black shrug, like these:

Lovely dress! I was just going to say short boxy fur jacket - I got one in Sainsbo's a few years ago, not sure if they have anything similar now.

A cropped jacket hits at the narrowest part and gives the illusion of a smaller waist. :) I think this last one is a winner and you could wear it with other things!

Fur jackets have come back in, haven't they? Or did they never go? I remember when I was 14 or so I had a hideous big white fur jacket, think early 2000s Britney Spears sort of style. Ah, I did love it.
