What is a good up to date look for small n pear shaped? Please help!

Ok I have officially lost it fashion wise. I'd like to give a little nod to this seasons trends without going over board if you know what I mean. Am finding all the latest sweater dresses, ankle boots n leggings frankly quite frightening! I am a proper english pear - all thighs n bum. Help me please someone - just tell me the look to go for and I'll do it, I'll do it!!

You want to balance yourself out on top. I'd say go for the v trendy tailored wide-leg trousers that skim nicely obver the botom half, and top with a nice secretary-style shirt/blouse or cropped jacket that shows off your waist. Very marc jacobs and very flattering.
