The Holy Grail (aka skinny jeans that stay skinny)

IWillOnlyEatBeans · 06/11/2014 14:15

I am in desperate need of new skinny jeans.

I currently have two pairs of DP Bailey jeans - one pair is fantastic and stays lovely and tight. My other pair has gone bay and saggy and is pretty much unwearable.

So - what brands have you found to be the best? High street only please as I am on a tight budget.

Thank you!

cocoblu · 06/11/2014 15:49

ive foumd topshop highwaisted Jamie jeans keep their shape really well

ladeedad · 06/11/2014 15:54

You need some with some lycra/elastane in them.

M&S 5 pocket jeggings. £22.50 I think. I have two pairs plus one from last year still not sagging. I can wear them for five a couple of days without them looking baggy too.

Cannot recommend them highly enough.

GreenerthanGrass · 06/11/2014 16:35

Love M&S 5 pocket jeggings too. They are 20% off online today - just ordered another couple of pairs

Lottapianos · 06/11/2014 16:52

I'm very impressed by M&S jeggings. I have a few pairs (black, grey, navy, brown) for work, which often involves sitting on tiny chairs and crouching down to talk to tiny children, and they are wearing well after a couple of months

IWillOnlyEatBeans · 06/11/2014 17:01

I hadn't considered M&S!

When I was pregnant with DS2 I lived in two pairs of their maternity jeggings and loved them. They didn't go baggy at all. Will have a look online now.

Thanks!

I have worn my Fat Face skinnies almost continuously since I got them 18 months ago - never sagged at all. Only now are they going a teeny-tiny bit faded at the knee.

Marylou2 · 06/11/2014 21:01

Uniqlo. They are amazing. No bagging or sagging ever!!

TheHoundsBitch · 06/11/2014 21:09

Primark, I've never had any baggy issues with them. And they're under £15.

sesamstrasse · 06/11/2014 21:12

Hollister jeggings which are pretty much jeans denimy material with zip and belt loops just skinnier

Usually deals on their website

cogitosum · 06/11/2014 21:13

Randomly I have always been impressed with sainsburys jeans (tu)

ThisBitchIsResting · 06/11/2014 21:39

M and S jeggings here too.

frankietwospots · 06/11/2014 23:10

Actually yes, I agree that Sainsburys are not bad at all. I have some grey distressed skinnies and they are great. Haven't bagged at all and have washed well.

My best ones without doubt are from New Look. Look for 98% cotton and 2% elastane which is the ideal composition. Anything with polyester is a waste of time.

Skinheadmermaid · 07/11/2014 10:16

Well don't go back to Dorothy Perkins, they're changed their manufacturer or something and all their jeans are horrible now. Sad
I got some really nice jeans from New Look recently - I couldn't get any size over my calves before but these are stretchy and so comfortable I feel like i'm in pyjamas.

IWillOnlyEatBeans · 09/11/2014 19:03

Thanks! I got some of the jeggings. If they wash ok then I will get some other colours
