what scarves are fashionable this season?

I fancy buying a couple of new scarves this winter but don't know what pattern/design to go for? I never really liked the Mumsnet scarf - I did buy one but I'm just not an animal print kind of person so ended up giving it away.

I want big and warm! What's in?

Tartan - it's everywhere!

I got a lovely one from zara this week. Black with white pattern - so cosy and warm and ticks the tartan box too.

Yes, tartan . Not so great for those of us who dislike it. Though the black and white version sounds a possible.
