Anyone else underwhelmed with the No 7 colour match test?

So I was in Boots the other day, just picking up a few bits and I wandered over longingly to the make up section of the store (can't really afford food right now, let alone expensive skin care and make up) and this No 7 sales assistant asks if I'd like to have the colour match test, so I said yes....why not right! Then she handed me a card with about 15 shades of lipstick and said "they should all suit you, but obviously that test isn't taking into account your hair or eye colour Hmm So I'm not really sure what it's helped me with. The shades it suggested for me, were pretty much the entire range and then I was left to work out what would suit me anyway.

Anyway, just wondered if anyone had had the same, slightly odd, experience. Or was she just a shit representative?

I got the card matched to my No 7 foundation colour (did she do the match test on your skin, first, to determine that?) and all the shades suggested that I tried were good.

Due to that card, I discovered that I should wear warm shades, like tomato red or warm pinks, as they make my eyes blue eyes pop. I wouldn't have tried them, otherwise.

Yeah, she did the test on my skin. I had a quick look at a few of the lipsticks she suggested, but I knew they wouldn't suit me. I put them up against my face just to check and I was right Confused

Maybe my experience was an unfortunate one off.

She may have had the wrong foundation colour - a lot of people say that gadget gives bad results.

Proud (?) owner of an orange lipstick following my No7 colour test...I will never wear it in a 100 years!!

She did advise results may not be the most accurate as I wasn't wearing a No7 Foundation!!

Dd had it done last week. They made sure her face was cleansed of make up before using the gadget.

The lipsticks that were reccomended were all ones I would have tried to steer her towards.

They were also able to reccomend a foundation two shades darker for stage use (tried 1 shade darker but it wasn't enough)
