How is this so?? What is the secret?

Realise obviously, that generally good looking people get the parts, but honestly everybody on that programme just glows.

And nobody has any pores.

The younger members of cast look like dolls, their skin is so perfect. But even the older ones, whilst having a few wrinkles, still have perfectly smooth, glowing pore-free skin.

What's it all about ay?? I want some of what they're having Smile

Try watching it on HD and it's a completely different story. Kylie has terrible skin and Liz has lots of fine lines.

vivlevyhandbagqueen · 28/10/2014 19:40

Tracey is quite wrinkly too for someone so young and Carla has a lot of open pores...HD here.

ScaredSeren · 28/10/2014 19:56

Bloody hells bells. Who would have thought it??? We do not have HD Grin

Really?? Is it that different??

Oh yeah it's really different in HD. I agree about Tracey's wrinkles, even DP noticed them!
Honestly HD is alright for wildlife programmes but not for soaps unless you like seeing other people's spots and wrinkles.

I will just say Deirdre Barlow.
That is all.

Gah! And I was on the lookout for some amazing secret make up technique!!

Just dont appear on HD tv.

Tbf if I had a hair and makeup dept. at my place of work Id look gorgeous too Grin

Fubsy · 28/10/2014 20:23

Close ups on QVC are pretty traumatic in HD too Grin

Justgotosleepnow · 28/10/2014 21:18

Oh yes HD close ups are why everyone now has Botox. It's sad really.
But has anyone else noticed that the skin areas on faces on an hd telly are slightly blurred? We have a new samsung. All colours of skin it works for, but more blurry on Caucasian skin. It's as if they have programmed in facial recognition software to blur pixels when it 'sees' a face. Coz when heads turn sideways they go back to full on hd clarity.

Anyone else noticed this?

I've seen one of the actresses mentioned in rl a couple of times and her skin isn't perfect. It's just normal. But I know what you mean. I think the same about Emmerdale. Everyone looks perfectly smooth and their hair bouncy and glossy. I'd love to know what make up the make up artists use.

Or what lighting. I could carry it around with me...

Faye is grey. I want to race round and force feed her broccoli. She looks like she's playing an evacuee who has never had a decent meal.
