Can I wear this to a Christmas party?

Debenhams

And if so, what do I wear with it?

I bought it for a wedding earlier this year and it's so comfortable and actually suits me (most dresses don't)! We are having our work Christmas do at a golf club and I really, really don't want to waste spend any money on another dress that'll only be worn once.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Yes I would say it was ideal for a Christmas party. could you try it with black tights to see if that looks ok? Don't want cold legs Grin add a pair of heels and you'll look fab!

KoalaDownUnder · 26/10/2014 16:00

Sure! Why not? I think it's lovely.

Dunno what with, I'm not good at cold-climate dressing, but I'm sure someone will be able to help. (Heels and black or blue clutch?)

PinkSparklyElephant · 26/10/2014 16:02

Thanks! Do you mean black opaques or black 'normal' tights? (Sorry, you can probably tell I'm useless at these things!)

I've got some black suede 'dressy' shoes and a black clutch so I could be sorted out well in advance rather than my usual running around at the last minute!

For me it would always be opaque tights. I just think they look a lot nicer.

janesaysl · 26/10/2014 16:06

Opaque black tights and black suede shoe boots would look fab, lovely dress Op

YouNerrNoothinJonSnerr · 26/10/2014 16:08

That is really lovely. I don't see why you can't wear it to a Christmas Party, just make sure you have very dressy shoes and some nice costume jewellery, like a chunky jet necklace or something.

How about trying it with a sparkly silver belt and some silver shoes with some sheer navy tights, or navy fishnets?

PinkSparklyElephant · 26/10/2014 16:23

Thanks everyone, some really good ideas!

I'll probably end wearing the shoes I've got as I can't afford any new ones at the moment. They have got sparkly stones on the front though so quite festive!

I'm liking the idea of fishnets though...

I was reading he thread, had nothing to add really but I do like the dress. Next thing I know it's on posts I'm on with nothing but a fuck! Sorry! Dress is nice though, great for Christmas!

PinkSparklyElephant · 26/10/2014 17:44

No worries, it's made me laugh!

I only ordered the dress on the spur of the moment and didn't expect to like it. I've now worn it to a wedding and a christening and I think it's now become the dress I wear for all occasions!
