If you can only have one pair always go for tan- goes with most things.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 25/10/2014 17:26

Agree that brown are more versatile.

I'd actually go for dark brown over tan as I think tan can actually be quite difficult to match to some colours.

Can I hijack. Anyone seen loverly tan long boots. My beautiful and well loved ones split up the back seam last week nothing to do with my fat calves they were old

HolgerDanske · 25/10/2014 19:23

I like the timberland charles street tall boots in dark brown. Lovely boots. They would be very versatile and they are waterproof as well.

But they're hard to find...

dexter73 · 25/10/2014 19:33

I don't like tan boots. I would go for black.

Clarabumps · 25/10/2014 20:10

I'd also go for dark brown here. Goes with most things, not too formal.

GoldenHares · 25/10/2014 20:58

I went for these:
hobbs black boots
Have black winter coat. Figured these might look ok.

They are lovely. Good choice and a good saving too.

burnishedsilver · 25/10/2014 23:26

I'd always choose the black.

Bewooohooove · 25/10/2014 23:49

I'd have both If I could afford it

CMP. Take a look at this year Asda George (yes really) tan long boots. They are lovely and only £40. Leather too. I would have bought them but they wouldn't zip up on my fatted calves.
