Do you need slim thighs for over-the-knee boots?

I've just dug out my over-the-knee boots from many years ago out of the back of my closet. They're quite nice, just plain black leather with a 3" heel. I tried them on and I'm just not convinced. I have chunky thighs. Do you need slim ones for over-the-knee boots to look good?

I'm sure if your legs are good enough for knee high boots, skinny jeans and/or short skirts they'll look great in over the knee boots.

Dug my flat pair of OTK boots out yesterday and loved wearing them. Will look for my heeled pair over the weekend.

Thanks Summer. My legs, however, are not good enough for short skirts. I also don't rock skinnies very well due to chunky legs, though I do wear them as other shapes make me feel frumpy.

I think that over-the-knee boots really draw attention to the thighs. Some people may want that. I don't.

I gave mine to my lovely next door neighbour this afternoon. She looks great in them.

Look up Sinead's Curvy Style on Facebook. She's a size 16-18 and wears OTK boots and imo generally looks really well doing it.

I would guess that they might draw attention to the thigh area. Not sure you need to be super slim, however.

They're not like this are they? Just that I think of principal actors in pantomimes and Puss in Boots when I think of over the knee boots Blush

Grin Peabody they are a bit like that. Not so long though and not such a spiky heel.
