petite person wearing "regular" ankle crop trousers

as an alternative to finding petite full length trousers. If you are under a certain height and find regular length trousers too long, do you wear ankle crop trousers as a petite person's full length instead? I'm thinking about buying a pair that I've seen online will the proportions look wrong?

Years ago, I tried it and felt it looked wrong. Probably because the cropped trousers were straight leg and quite flap around the ankle.

Yes, too wide and I looked like a pirate. Best to stick to petite range to avoid the I am short of arsed look.

Okay, that's helpful. What about the skinny leg variety or where they just as strange?

Skinny leg seemed better.Bif you are like me, legs are ok but waist is a bit wider than desired Grin

I bought 2 pairs in gap last week. I think they look good

I do but only v slim cut ones - ie cigarette.

I have tried a pair of regular length bistro crops from Boden thinking that they would do me full length. They were'nt quite the right length ie still bit too short so I've ended up turning them up to look like proper crops. I think in general its better just to buy regular length ones that fit you round the waist and hips and then either get hems sewn up or wonderwebbed or if skinny jeans i fold them up on the inside.

Okay, so I've just ordered a pair of skinny leg trousers in the sale from ASOS. I do hope they fit but it's a good job they do free returns. Thanks for all the tips.

I often do just buy regular and get them sewn up but it would be nice not to for a change.

I'm 5ft and am thinking of trying bistro crops in regular length as I find the petite length a bit too cropped for winter.
