Bra ladies help - the wires on my bras are hurting

Hello lovely bra advisors

I've been Bravissimo'd in the past and am a 28G.

I've been wearing the same bras for about 18 months now (having got remeasured post BFing) and recently they have been really hurting me. I think it was exacerbated playing Twister a fortnight ago when the wires dug into my chest bending over. It's mainly under the boobs that they hurt.

Do you think my bras are just a bit old? They still look OK size wise - flat strap at the back and no quad boobs. Or should I try different styles? I've got a couple of Freya ones and a couple of Bravissimo ones (one of which is a 28GG but has a much chunkier strap). Or do I need to get remeasured - I don't feel like I've put on weight.

Where are the wires hurting?

The top of my ribcage, under my boobs Statistically

That could well be bra age IMO. It's something I find tends to happen when my bras get old - the bands don't necessarily ride up but they stop supporting as well as they did, the strap elastic softens and the cups lose their rigidity/strength. All this kind of results in the bra bowing forwards a bit which changes the angle of the wires and causes them to dig in rather than sitting flat.

Can't be sure, but I'd maybe order a new bra and see how it feels

I think that's probably it. The straps feel a bit loose on my shoulders even when I tighten them so maybe just age. Roll on the sales!
