Hi,

I've just bought some new dresses for a graduate job and have been given assurances that all of the dresses will be suitable but have no idea how to style things:S Please could you help!

Thanks so much, I'm 24 and coming to terms with having put on around 3 stone over the last few years following health problems so am now a size 14 apple shape and trying to do my best to make the most of it and look a bit smarter:)

Opaque tights. Pointed toe flats. A stacked heel if you want to feel taller and slimmer. Mary Janes or t straps with a chunky heel. Get a nice structured coat to go over it. Avoid cocoon shapes. Statement earrings or necklaces, one or the other at a time. They are nice choices. I bet you'll look gorgeous.

Those are all lovely. I'm a teacher and would wear all of those with black opaques, my sensible heels from Clarks and either a black cardi or black blazer. I might wear a statement necklace with some of them, particularly the ones with a bit of a plain top half.

I know none of that is particularly ground-breaking, but I find taking that approach makes getting ready for work really easy, and I can focus most of my sartorial attention on what I wear outside of work, which is much more fun.

Great, thanks for your ideas:) Both of those sound like what I would do so good to hear am on the right track. Glad opaque tights are the way to go as well, I was looking at fully black but think they'd look odd.
