Coloured skinny cords. How do I wear them?

On a whim I bought 2 pairs of skinny cords today. One stone coloured, one aubergine. What the hell do I wear with them?! I don't think I've worn trousers that aren't jeans for about 10 years...

You may fancy some indulgent knitwear to snuggle under, and some ankle boots...a mid-brown boot will go with both colours. As for knitwear, blues would work with both colour trousers and brown boots, but would depend on what colours you like to wear.

I wear exactly the same as I would with jeans. Slouchy tees & knits and either ankle boots or Converse.

Colour wise, aubergine looks great with black, navy, teal, other plum shades, oatmeal, brown.

With a coloured top! The stone coloured are easy - they'll match with almost anything, the same as jeans. With the aubergine, depending on your colouring, you could try teal or bottle green, a toning plum colour, or even a red or gold.

Where did you get them from? I NEED some cord trousers! Grin

I want some too!!

Thanks all, lots of good suggestions. Have chocolate brown ankle boots which are good with the stone, and black riding boots and these for the aubergine.

They were from Asda Blush £14 each and a nice fit (although had to size down)

M&S indigo have some in a lovely deep aubergine colour - nice high waist, too. I can actually wear mine without a belt.

Uniqlo just released skinny cords AND cord leggings.

I've ordered a pair, can't wait to try them on.

Littlepumpkinpie · 18/10/2014 22:28

I wear a denim shirt with mine looked nice

I've tried those in Asda, really fancied the aubergine ones (though I thought they were more plum, but hey ho). The cut was odd for my shape, wide at the waist and too tight on the legs. Tried to see if they'd stretch, but didn't think they would. Shame, for £14 they were lush!
