Please help me style these trousers - birthday emergency

I've got a significant birthday soon let's pretend I'm going to be 30, and a party to go with it.

I'm a vibrant autumn, so want to avoid the obvious black. I'm size 10, and a bit pear-y.

Why did you buy them if you had no idea what to wear with them! I JUST DONT GET THIS

bettymoody because they are gorgeous, and because I needed to start the outfit somewhere. I have got tops I can wear, but I'd prefer to wear something I really like

I would take them with you and go shopping. Take armfuls of tops into the changing rooms and try them on with the trousers.

Have you sorted your shoes?

I think something silvery grey or soft gold would look lovely with those. Try Wallis

I think cream top, waistband skimming boxy top or maybe sonething with a petty collar - again cream

Thanks all. I found this on the Wallis website: gold top, which I'm going to order to try. Thanks medented - Wallis wasn't on my radar (even though I used to have a Saturday job there)

I have bistro crops and that top might be too long. I tend to wear mine with fitted jumpers that reach just below the waistband or tops like this in the cream might work.
