I do too.

DS1 calls M&S "M Food" because he likes their sandwiches. The things that pass for treats in our house...

They are fab arent they? I just love the children's one, I've since noticed the poormans Matalan womens ad, think they're trying to copy M&S just a tad!

Love the ads, but wish I could slow them down a bit to get a proper look at the clothes.... especially that green and black dress that Erin O'Conner has on.

the ads are really annoying!!

The green and black dress looks good on a model but the fabric is a bit cheap in real life.

Saying that I went for a walk round the local M & S today and was impressed with the range of clothes. They had some nice basic and reasonably priced jumpers and some good trousers. I ended up in the food hall and bought my tea since dh and ds's are away for the weekend. I thought I would treat myself!

I would go back when it is quieter though for a proper look but what I saw was good.

Our little M&S here never has any of the stuff from the ads. Not even the dark skinny jeans.

I bought some nice tops today after watching the ad. I think Twiggy looks fab considering she must be mid 50's now. Grrrr.

MamaGlamourPuss · 30/09/2006 22:34

yes Twiggy does look good. I like the clothes as well, I'm not usually ab ig fan of M&S apart from basics, but I'm impressed at the mo

Enid.... so you reckon it's not worth my while travelling to look at a big M&S??

I must admit I do rather hate Per Una, but have bought a couple of bits from Limited Collection.

well dont worry you re in good company as they are improving their dismal sales figures

amazing what a bit of strategic marketing can do

Report
MamaGlamourPuss · 30/09/2006 22:50

oh don't get all scary on me Enid - I just like clothes, or dislike them. Don't care about strategic marketing, I just look in almost every shop, all the time (saddo) and don't take much notice of the ads - these ones just caught my eye.

I've got a DD who is currently on a degree course in fashion.... nightmare to go shopping with.

Me: 'what about this skirt'?
DD: 'put it down right now mum, it's been and gone'.

LOL
