Knitwear/winter tops to show waist?

I'm a size 16 at the moment, carrying weight on my boobs and stomach, but I do still have a good waist (so no idea what actual shape I am). Can anyone recommend some warm tops / knitwear that flatters rather than creates a straight line ?? Do I need things that nip in? If so, where do I shop for that?

Cropped cashmere cardigans and cropped jumpers are your friend. A lot of the rockabilly sites have stuff with this cut as does Brora, Pure and Boden.

Buy the cropped jumpers pretty fitted so they skim rather than flap about. EBay for h&m ones but buy a size 12 for a budget buy.
