Black dress with red heels!

Dd 17 has a big night tomorrow. It is a formal dinner but no dancing. She is wearing the above.

What colour lips and nails do you think? She was thinking no tights but maybe she should if its formal. Any ideas?

Red nails and lips if red shoes! I would say no tights or flesh colour tights

Her colouring is strawberry blond with blond highlights and pale (ish) skin.

Given she is so young I think no tights is ok if she is happy with it, especially as she'll be sitting down most of the time. No need for tights if the dress is full length.

I think tights would be slightly better though, especially if the dress is short - Marks and Spencer nude in 7 denier looks really natural on pale skin. If she has a red lip product that suits her colouring for lips, go for that or if not something more natural lip colour. I think I'd go for either red lips or nails rather than both but it is totally personal preference. Quite hard for me to imagine what make up/tights or not answers are right for 17 years .

I have a DD 17 - fab dress and shoes, ditto as above to the red nail varnish and lips, black (or poss red if you have one already) clutch, they don't really do tights but a bit of fake tan?

Hope those links work - if not it is the Rimmel sunshimmer instant tan in light (either matte or shimmer), can be picked up in Boots or Superdrug. It looks scary coming out of the tube if you're pale, but it goes on much lighter (have a quick practice) and can be mixed with moisturiser to be easier to apply/paler if need be. There is a medium too if your dd is not that pale.

ps. it washes off so no worry about streaky mistakes
