Every few years I get the urge to lop all my hair off, I dont know why, then I spend several years growing it out again. The problem is I am a wee bit chubby (size 16) and I have a fairly square jaw and a double chin (even when I am skinny just the shape of my face. Anyway I really fancy this pixie cut would it look ridiculous?

I'd say keep it longer to give you more flexibility. High ponytail and quiff would work with your look (which I love).

ditavonteesed · 13/10/2014 15:46

high ponytail and quiff is one of my standard work does. I do love it.

I think you are very beautiful and striking.

I don't like short short dyed hair personally, so in your case I would keep it longer. What about a short fringe and clean cut Bob?

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 13/10/2014 15:48

Keep it longer. I think pixie cuts can be hard to carry off with a square jaw or a double chin, even more so when they are combined.

I love you hair colour btw, stunning!

Funkytown · 13/10/2014 15:48

Leave it as it is and btw you have a lovely hair colour !!

breakingtradition · 13/10/2014 15:50

Yeah I agree that it suits you long. I think if you went for the pixie cut, it would completely change your face. Step away from the scissors OP Grin

ditavonteesed · 13/10/2014 15:52

thanks :) I have had a really short thick fringe for years but I got fed up of doing it and it looks awful if you dont have it styled. My hair only goes that colour cause it isnt far off that colour anyway (but a lot more silver these days)

Cut it!! It will grow back if you don't like it!
You look fabulous now BTW.

Whatever you decide, I love your colour!

ditavonteesed · 13/10/2014 16:17

I do have a very long neck with a lovely (if I do say so myself) tattoo on the back of it. I have to wear my hair up for work and due to starting early I tend to just slap it back. I have finsihed work now and start university in a week and dont want to feel like the token oldie there. I will have placements where I will still have to tie my hair up if it is long though. I have bought some new clothes and it feels like a good time for change.

oo I found a pic from last time I had it cut. I will say I am not photogenic at all.

I have the same chin. Short hair emphasises it. Oddly, up styles look good.

LeoandBoosmum · 13/10/2014 18:26

Don't - I did twice and it takes too long to grow back. I think that cut really only suits little elfin faces...and you and your hair are beautiful as is! :)

magicpixie · 13/10/2014 18:44

How about keep itl longbut go for more of a fifties style

Milmingebag · 13/10/2014 18:52

I think a strong geometric bob would suit you more than a pixie.

ditavonteesed · 13/10/2014 18:52

it is in a fifties style, I am growing the fringe a bit as it does my head in becasue I cant use my straightners at 5am without waking dh up so looks crap a lot of the time. I often have the fringe up in a quiff and a high pony tail, or the side up with rockabilly style flowers and things. My hair is just so straight and thin that it looks all limp and slppy without quite a bit of effort. However I will bow to opinion (maybe) and give it a swerve. I asked dh he said but it is really pretty now although it would also be really pretty short (splinters in his bum much)

this is how my fringe was.

this sort of thing.

AWombWithoutAFoof · 13/10/2014 18:56

I disagree, I have a face like a slumped scone, but short hair suits me much better than long. The key is volume and texture. I definitely think either v short like your first pic or a v stylish edgy bob is the way to go. The cut in your second pic isn't great, I don't think, sorry, it looks a bit thin and lank. Love the colour too.

AWombWithoutAFoof · 13/10/2014 18:57

X posted, your bob pic is much better than the second one!

Gatekeeper · 13/10/2014 18:58

A thousand times better long,

ditavonteesed · 13/10/2014 19:05

short bob (no make up and a very grumpy face)

Short bob is divine!
