Yesterday I actually found a shop that had so much stuff in it that I liked. And I'm not an avid shopper.

Dp is the one who loves to shop, I generally don't. I like a bargain and a rummage around charity shops. Or to shop for something in particularly need. And house stuff. But clothes shopping is a chore.

Dp and I were away yesterday, staying in a small town for the night. We went down the high street after checking in and we came across a little boutique with amazing things in the window. I loved it. Dp bought me a couple of things. I'm just glad we don't live there. We've been once before but the shop had other owners and wasn't pleasant to shop in and didn't have good stock. What a difference.

I showed myself up a bit with my enthusiasm Blush But I did say to the shop assistant how nice it was to be in a boutique that had so much in I'd actually buy. They sold mainly tops, scarves, bags, hats and jewellery.

I have a long body and a lot of the tops were wearable for me, in lovely autumnal colours.

The butchers in the village is great too. As are the pubs. We need a lotto win so we can move Grin

FreakinScaryCaaw · 13/10/2014 08:16

It's in Rothbury, Northumberland. Not sure if I can link to shop might get wrong for advertising? Don't know if it has a website? I bloody hope not!! Grin

Ooh that's not far from me, I might have to have a trip there! What's it called?

BettyMoody · 13/10/2014 08:18

Well this IS informative. There's a butchers that's good. Hmm

FreakinScaryCaaw · 13/10/2014 08:18

I once went somewhere that had a good coffee shop but the butchers was disappointing.

FreakinScaryCaaw · 13/10/2014 08:24

It's not even on Facebook. Maybe they don't need to advertise? I know there was a lady in there on Saturday who said she's always in there, so perhaps it gets plenty of trade?

Dp is surprised as he usually has to encourage me to go shopping, but in this shop I was really excited too much.

I know Rothbury fairly well. I think I know which shop you mean. Is it the one that sells a lot of hippy clothes and is nearer the top of the hill?

Bunbaker · 13/10/2014 08:25

And the butchers is great, as is the bakers.

FreakinScaryCaaw · 13/10/2014 08:26

I feel your pain Pag. I like a good sausage.

Pagwatch · 13/10/2014 08:32

It was disappointing. [dailymailsadface]

Bunbaker · 13/10/2014 08:38

I think it is this one

DD and I love it and always go in there whenever we are in Rothbury.

Bunbaker · 13/10/2014 08:38

It's called Teasels

wantacatplease · 13/10/2014 08:41

We have a nice pub that does 2 for £12 meals. But the Butchers isn't great. The fishmongers however, are bloody excellent. I love their fish pie mix.

FreakinScaryCaaw · 13/10/2014 09:00

Envy fish pie mix.

No it isn't called Teasels but that may have been it's old name? If I can name it then it's called Aria.

The point ispeasandlove I can share my excitement at actually enjoying shopping.

The clothes in there aren't for everyone as like I said it's fairly boho but so me. My best friend would love it too. When I get some cash I'm expecting I'll take her there for a night.

Am a bit surprised there's no online shopping to be had?

You see the shoe shop, it's posh. I even enjoyed looking in there. Had some gorgeous boots. And some shoes so expensive they were behind glass.
