Large calves - what sort of trousers?

I am 5ft 8", size 12 with very large calves and not overly slim thighs. What sort of jeans or trousers could I wear?

I've got the same shape and I've been trouser shopping this weekend... The fashion seems to be for slim/skinny fit and that just isn't me! The obvious answer is boot legs, but I'm not keen on those, but I've managed to find some nice straight legs that work - they are effectively slim fit on me, but look pretty good. I found one pair in the White Stuff outlet (Sorell) and some in Country Casuals (www.ccfashion.co.uk/fcp/product/countrycasuals//Straight-Leg-Smart-Jean-Long/11500) - I know they are often seen as for the - umm - more mature lady, but I figured that their target demographic would be less likely to be skinny fit trendy, and they are a better cut for me. A bit highwaisted, but I tend to wear tops loose rather than tucked in, anyway.

You're the same shape a size as me. I also don't really like bootlegs. I wear a limited range of trousers:
Next slim leg jeans (widest range in line, but still not loads) - fit like skinnies on me
Sainsbury's straight leg black work trousers (really nice, massively flattering, look and feel a million times more expensive than £12!)
Sainsbury's skinny chinos - only chinos I have ever come across that fit my calves

I don't even live near a Sainsbury's! I just go there for trousers.
