What evening top with black pencil skirt?

I've got a black satin pencil skirt I want to wear to a party tonight but have never worn it as I don't know what sort of top to wear with it. Thinking thick black tights & high shoe boots so will need a bit if colour & hitting the shops later today but could do with some guidance . It's very fitted & I'm a curvy 12.

If the skirt is very fitted, I think you need something a bit blousy or floaty on top. A silk blouse maybe, if that's your style, or a sheer chiffon top?
