Are Celtic & Co slippers worth the money?

I need some slippers and am sick of spending £10 on pairs that fall apart within weeks. Celtic & Co have some lovely ones and I'm happy to spend the money if they last.

Or recommendations for other brands appreciated.

Nursey of Bungay are very good. I've had a pair for about five years and they are still going strong and very warm.

I bought this pair at Christmas last year and they had started coming apart between the wool and the sole within the space of a few weeks. I posted an unimpressed review on their website and they contacted me and offered me a replacement or refund.

I swapped them for their mules and they've been OK but they're not a year old yet and the sheepskin has worn away on both heels. I have worn them most days though (except for July and August).

Their pointelle cashmere wristwarmers were gorgeous though until I lost them and they don't have them anymore Sad

I bought my sheepskin slipper boots from Sheepland after a recommendation on MN. They are fabulous and better value than the Celtic ones.

They also sell "seconds" which are a lot cheaper (£42.50). On mine, the labels on the back were slightly mismatched, but who on earth notices that? Here.

I originally thought these were great too when I had my first pair in 2010 but have had two further pairs with different problems. Both times the problems were remedied by the company but my current pair which had been worn for a maximum of 12 months over two winters developed a different problem and the company were very unhelpful despite initially sending photographs and returning the slippers. I would not risk another pair - not at the high price charged. Any reasonable person would expect them to last longer if the slippers were properly cared for.
