Big tartan scarf- how to wear?

Every autumn I treat myself to a something warm, cosy and new to make me feel better about the coming months of cold and gloom.

I've been noticing those big tartany scarves people are wearing. Today I bought two, because I was undecided. One is in more traditional greys reds and blues, the other is in soft pinky colours.

Anyway, on opening them out I discovered they are huge. I'm not sure how to wear them, do I just drape them round my neck? They seem too bulky to tie.

Either that or I have inadvertently bought two of those blankets old Grannies put on their knees Wink.

I have a couple of big tartan scarves I bought last year and tend to wear them wrapped or drapped around my neck, I don't tie them. They are very big but super warm on cold mornings :-)

Where did you buy them from?

Didn't want to say in case I get scoffed at....Primark.

I saw 2 lovely ones in Sainsburys! £12. Really chunky and warm

My one from last year gets wrapped around loosely several times with the ends sort of tucked in. I love it and I was so happy to get it down from the loft at the weekend Grin

I have been thinking about a big tartan scarf. Is it warm or lightweight? Sounds lovely.

The Primark one is huge and very very soft and warm. But I think it might be a bit too big. It's practically a blanket.

What's wrong with Primark. I love tartan and love primark.
I have a tartan dress.
