M&S shoes, what do we think?

suzywong · 28/09/2006 20:05

Now I am not on the same continent as my small but perfectly formed husband I have realised I can wear high heels on my various knees up in London Town.
M&S are the only people who do my size, 7.5.
Are their shoes nice or naff, what do you think?
I don't want mighty high stilletos but something to go with knee length and above skirts.
Any ideas?
TIA

I'm liking these at the moment but I wonder if they are a bit frumpy

HOW old are you?

maybe these would be more comfy

Fimbo · 28/09/2006 20:12

I like some of the Limited Collection shoes - but alas they do not go up to your size.

drosophila · 28/09/2006 20:12

this is what I bought Like you I am a half size and M&S are one of the who cater for it. They are suprisingly comfortable. They have some sort of special heel.

suzywong · 28/09/2006 20:13

ooo they're nice

SNORT@CD, I know I know, I haven't worn high heels for 15 years I need coaching I need nurturing I need taking in hand

how about these

CountessDracula · 28/09/2006 20:14

(I am sobbing at the thought of summer being over and not being able to wear my fave wedges that give me numb toes for several days)

Fimbo · 28/09/2006 20:14

What colour do you want?

soapbox · 28/09/2006 20:14

SW - most shoe shops go up to an 6 or 9 now.M&S shoes are much too wide for me - like boats really

A nice pair of knee high boots might be nice with your skirts?

Those shoes are a bit 'corporate' for what you are looking for I think

suzywong · 28/09/2006 20:15

Nice..but I have a tweedy skirt and isn't it tights weather over here atm. keep them coming please

The special heel thing is meant to make you more balanced and I think it works. I resist wearing heels but thought I would be fem for a bit.

soapbox · 28/09/2006 20:15

Oops that should say 8 or 9

suzywong · 28/09/2006 20:16

point taken about corporate, I am not going to get boots as I will never wear them back home in Oz.
The slip of a girl in Faith looked at me like I was a tranny when I asked for a size 41, same story in Clarks. I am a circus freak, clearly

I tried thes on and they look good on much better than picture and they were really comfy.

marthamoo · 28/09/2006 20:18

Sorry, suze - frumpsville. I like drosophila's better.

Can't believe 7.5 is that freakish - it's not that much bigger than average. My best friend at school was a 9!

marthamoo · 28/09/2006 20:19

I'm not sure about that second pair, drosophila - make me think of Mary Poppins.

drosophila · 28/09/2006 20:22

I know I wasn't sure about them with a skirt but they are deffo much better in the flesh.

suzywong · 28/09/2006 20:22

Hmmmmm..not sure about the laces

Hello moo xxx are you coming to my London meetup or what?

what about this wedgey heel or these with an ankle strap or these ones

OP posts:
marthamoo · 28/09/2006 20:24

I have no place on this thread anyway as I really don't do heels (though I do have a pair of kitten heeled black sparkly beaded slingbacks that I bought in M&S two years ago that - for heels - are surprisingly comfy.

marthamoo · 28/09/2006 20:26

suze, are you here? You never post at this time any more! No, I'm not coming to your meet-up, sadly. You're not still coming up to Derbyshire are you?

marthamoo · 28/09/2006 20:27

(like 1st pair - but they only seem to go up to 5.5 online, second pair OK, third pair bleeurgh)

SargentMajorBeetroot · 28/09/2006 20:28

marthamoo · 28/09/2006 20:29
