Please help me style this dress/Red patent shoes?

I have a formal do to go to with dh (mess dress/black tie/dresses below knee and with at least a 2 inch strap over the shoulder). I go to 2-3 of these a year and see all the same people, so don't ever really spend a lot on a frock, plus my legs are my best bit so would rarely wear a long dress again thru choice.

I had a c-section 5wks ago so have a bit of a tummy but really my main 'problem areas' are my vast arse, thighs and upper arms/back (due to all the cake which has been necessary). But for once i have an ample bosom (total novelty for me). i am 5ft10in and probably a 16-18 (usually a 12).

My Mum has kindly loaned me this dress which falls just below my knee and is quite flattering. But i have no shoes to wear and need to dress it up a bit.

I have a gorgeous white coral necklace and earrings and was thinking some bright red patent shoes and some kind of bright red bag may look good. My really high heel days are long gone and thin heels make me wobble and look extra chunky of calf - so would need to be about 3-4in high and thickish heel.

So if anyone knows if these mythical shoes and a matching bag exist could you please share your knowledge?

Alternatively if anyone has any other suggestions i'd be most grateful.

Budget about £100 for both shoes and bag.

Tia :)

i'd use a black clutch bag and do red lips/nails i think.

cheers, i don't like black so wouldn't buy a black clutch. this dress will be the first black thing i've worn in years. i will look for a red i think.
