Where can I buy nice, affordable necklaces?

I can see necklaces long and short seem to be more in, or I am noticing them more anyway. I recently bought one cheaply online and guess what, it looked cheap! So, I'm wondering, where do you buy nice necklaces/costume jewellery which is good value for money, doesn't break the bank but nicely made. Any ideas/suggestion very welcome. Thank you!

Etsy is a bit hit and miss with the quality but once you've found a few settlers you like and trawled through the reviews it's fairly easy to figure out who's items would be the most sensible purchase.
