sorry, I know this has been done to death, I couldn't find any of the threads and would like some help.

so I just measured - 26 under (25 if I pull the tape measure really tight) and 34 hanging over.

that sounds like a huge difference but I really look like I have small breasts. I wear a 28e at the moment and a size 8.

It sounds like a teenagers measurements, I'm in my twenties!

Aren't you meant to add 4" on to your back measurement? That would make you a 30 something.

ihatethecold · 05/10/2014 11:03

noooo! dont add any inched to the measurement.

I'm sure one of the experts will be along soon to tell you all you need to know.

hollie84 · 05/10/2014 11:04

I think that makes you a 26FF! I don't know how easy 26 band size bras are to find though - it's more or less the same size as a 28F so you're not far off now with a 28E.

How does your current bra fit?

bluetrain · 05/10/2014 11:19

I have two styles of panache tshirt bra that I wear. one is a plunge that feels too big in the cup, it ripples at the underwire but I tightened the straps and it got a bit better. the other is a balconette which fits a lot better but has a bit of overspill in my bigger breast when I scoop. I also have a bravissimo own balconette bra which has definite overspill.

maybe I should try the balconette ones in a 28F.

I tried at 26e, 26f and 28F from a website but I would rather not buy from them again especially in bulk as I had problems returning it all.

my breasts are fuller at the bottom than at the top (ahem, slightly saggy) if that makes a difference.

www.bratabase.com/browse/ewa-michalak/size-range/55FF/?system=UK - has 26FF styles

Have you tried Made in Preston for 26" bands?

bluetrain · 05/10/2014 20:36

yes, Sorrel that is the website I had a bad experience with, although it wasn't really their fault, I found their customer service not great.

Goodboy I think you may need an intervention ...

StatisticallyChallenged · 05/10/2014 21:18

Ewa Michalak and Comexim are two polish brands who do custom sizes, including 26 bands. You might actually need a 28 in some of them as they run quite snug. Made in Preston I have heard have upped their game a little. Another worth trying is tutti rouge, had several reports of them running very small.

bluetrain · 06/10/2014 08:18

thanks Statistically I like Made in Preston's things, I may give them a try again.

I'm a 26G (with slight overspill on some stylesBlush -might need to upsize on the cups again)
Made In Preston were pretty good in terms of customer service in my case. A couple of bras were cut ludicrously small so I returned them and they sent new ones that fit properly. The only issue we had with the site was the BOGOF offer cannot take account of bikinis as it counts the bottoms as a separate item. You need to phone and get them to put it through manually.
G cup on a small back isn't actually that big, barely a handful. I'd like to see more bra manufacturers making 26" bras, now a few are starting to realise that grown women are small-backed. DD will needs bra in the next year or two, no idea where I'll find one that fits her!

bluetrain · 07/10/2014 18:32

hi InMySpareTime great to hear from another small-backed lady! I think I will try MIP again since you had good service with them. gutted I missed this BOGOF offer though.

OP posts:

They do BOGOF offers every couple of months, there should be another one along soon. I follow them on FB so I can keep track of the offers (and so I can suggest new styles they should offer).
