Lack of sleep is taking it's toll, either that or it's age (41) + 2 small DC

Recommendations please.

Have recently tried REN (found it average) and Neals yard (not moisturising enough.
I have combination skin.

Well, I use Olay Regenerist stuff. I use the serums (night and day) and the moisturiser (night and day). I like it pretty well.
Oh! And I use Indeed Hydraluron underneath. It boosts the ... whateverness... of the moisturisers.

Nivea just discovered how great it is.

Lambzig · 04/10/2014 09:29

I know you asked about moisturisers, but have you tried an exfoliating toner? This made such a difference to my 46 year old combination skin when I started it this year, really brightened it with daily use.

I like dermalogica moisturiser or clarins (or goats milk one if my sister gets it in the us for me).

Lambzig · 04/10/2014 09:29

Oh and yy to hydraluron.

Clarabumps · 04/10/2014 10:35

Another convert to Hydraluron and I find it works best after an exfoliating toner.
It contains pure plant derived Hyluronic acid which is the stuff in your skin that makes it plump, and holds 1000 times it's weight in water so it's almost like giving your skin a big huge drink.
I've been using it for just over a week and my skin looks amazing. well the best it's looked since I became a mother

Olay Total Effects 7 in 1, it has great anti-ageing effects

Fubsy · 04/10/2014 12:56

I would try an exfoliating toner (the ones with acid in - glycoluc, lactic). theres lots of info on Caroline Hirons blog.

Also NY do more than one moisturiser - some are very mousturising. They do parties - if you like thee brand maybe see if you have a local rep who could let you try some different ones?

BeyondTheSea · 04/10/2014 19:31

Thanks for all the recommendations - will google!

Another one to just discover the amazeness of Nivea. Thickly layer it on for bed, skin looks fab in the morning. And I too am permanently tired and wrong side of 38, so it must be doing something good !

fiorentina · 04/10/2014 19:39

I like origins GinZing range as I had this exact same question a while ago. Has helped me, along wit regular face masks, steaming and trying to sleep as much as possible!

Kundry · 04/10/2014 19:45

Another vote for exfoliating toner! I use Paula's Choice 2% BHA and my skin looks fantastic for it.

Alpha H Liquid Gold 2-3 times a week also works wonders.

Clarabumps · 04/10/2014 20:20

YY to Caroline Hirons blog!!! Her blog has changed my skin. And she has a lovely way about her, her videos on youtube are good too.

plentyofshoes · 04/10/2014 20:36

I am in a similar situation to you. I use Origins never a dull moment and that helps (slightly)

EssexMummy123 · 04/10/2014 20:40

I to love Nivea - the one in the blue pot, I once tried the Hope in a jar cream and didn't find it to be any better. Do follow Caroline Hiron's advice on cleansing/toning though and am debating the Roc serum.
