Hello
I have started to make more of an effort to wear make up and do my hair nice. However for some reason when applying my make up it is just not the same as it used to be!
I like to use browns/black for a smokey look but when i try to blend it in i always look like i have a line. So not a good look.
Looking for all ideas for eye make up please!

Do you apply your make up every day? wat looks do you go for?

I absolutely love and highly recommend Benefit BeneTint. Most Debenhams stores have a Benefit counter and Selfridges. It's a cheek stain and it give you a lovely healthy look all day. I find it makes all the difference for me in the morning. I also use it with some glow/highlighting liquid from Benefit that I put on my cheekbones that genuinely lifts my face. Both costs about £30 but last for ages - over a year. Combined with a bit of mascara I look like I've made an effort.

If you find you need/want more, try a consultation at Bobbi Brown (also in Debenhams/ Selfridges etc) as they specialise in Natural Look makeup and I really like their stuff. But you don't want to get to a point where you don't have time to put any on and everyone starts asking if you're ill!

invest in some good makeup brushes. these can make all the difference.

I hope so. I have just paid £17 for a Bobbi Brown one!

use a really dark grey eyeshadow and a really thin brush rather than an eyeliner pencil for a smudgy smoky look

chicaguapa · 30/09/2006 18:58

That's what I've just paid £17 for! An eye-liner brush to use with dark eyeshadow.

nulnulcat · 01/10/2006 12:43

wet the brush first so you dont get eyeshadow all over your face
