Working at boss' home - what should I wear on my feet

I have landed a job as a PA working for a businessman.

Luckily I will be working from his home which is a fantastic manor house. Just not sure what would be appropriate footwear.

I have to look well groomed, so will go in heels but don't think they are appropriate in the house which has polished floors and thick carpets - any ideas please? Wondering about ballet flats or elegant slippers

If there are polished floors I doubt that stiletto heels would be welcomed. I would turn up in heels with a pair of ballet flats in your hand bag if required.

Slippers would feel too homey for me to get into work mode I think. Keep a pair of flats there that will never leave the building.

I think elegant slippers would probably be a good idea or maybe just go stocking footed. I certainly wouldnt wear heels on those surfaces hun.

wear flats until you can work out if you could get away with slippers

leave a pair of smart flats and heels in work just incse you ever happen to be client facing

M&S have lovely slipper style shoes in ponyskin which look very elegant. I think I got an email about a discount on shoes there today
