like converse--type trainer thingies

but need sth for winter... have lots of knee high boots - want something trainerish but a bit, y'know, classy and shoe-like

this isn't actually possible is it?

sth ican wear with socks but is kind of nice, so could also wear for smart

but wouldn't look like the comfy slip-ons of my mother
