Midi skater skirt/dress?

At the moment I'm a little bit in love with midi skater skirts. However, with winter fast approaching I'm conscious that my legs might be a bit cold bare. Would tights make it too frumpy?

Nope - I wear thick tights with mine all the time.
(and I hope I don't look frumpy)

Well.... I can be a bit out there and often wear cowboy boots like these
Or Mary Jane heels and sometimes knee high black boots.
