The White Company- getting too pricey?

Am I getting tighter or are they trying it on?
New catalogue arrived and practically no knitwear for under £100, even with a discount it's a bit steep.

I love White Company but, like Boden, Whistles, Gap etc etc (other faves of mine) they're really bad for yoyo pricing. I wouldn't consider buying from any of the above without a discount code. Usually 25%. It's really frustrating.

I really like the neutral colour scheme but when I last went in I was decidedly underwhelmed with the quality of the material and the cut.

I am going to try Cos soon as they seem to have the sort of style I like.

I agree with Wise the prices really yoyo, way over priced to begin with then suddenly they shoot down on sale or with discount codes. Fine for adult stuff but it would make me look elsewhere for kids.

I too love TWC but agree prices too steep on alot of knitwear especially.
I received new catalogue today and intend to browse tonight.
It's the colours, or lack of, that I love.
The greys and tapes and creams..

it's one of the only places to buy pure wool knitwear - apart from cashmere- if you want something a bit different.

Yes yes andyes. They have got very pricey and quality is not so good. Had a 20% offcode and even that didnt tempt me. Hope they get back to normal pricing soon.

this is more reasonably priced. I like it in the light grey.

You do have to look past the gimmerness admittedly on Woolovers but there are some pearls there for those looking for natural fabrics.

The Moss Stitch sweater is excellent too. It hangs like stuff used to from The White Company. I have had one over a year now and it is still in good shape. They have bought out more neutral shades too this year.

It really annoys me when companies try to be greedy or make out they are a designer company by hiking their prices. Their viscose dresses are rubbish in the main and what a shocking price. Ditto nightwear.
