Only if you want to look eccentric.

Sorry :)

what kind of yellow and what kind of trousers?
I'd not wear yellow trousers anytime of year ever but that doesn't mean you can't.

LaurieFairyCake · 21/09/2014 18:48

Yes if they're tartan/plaid

And you wear a sober top

Not if they're summer weae

slightlysnippy · 21/09/2014 18:51

You got a picture, what style? but I'm thinking probably not, it's a very summary colour.

cardoon · 21/09/2014 18:52

hmmm, yes they are probably summer wear citrinr

heartened to think yellow tartan is OK though!

I think we need bright, happy colours even more in the winter than we do in the summer. I wear summer skirts in winter - as far as I am concerned, if I am happy wearing it, I shouldn't have to give a stuff what anyone else thinks!

slightlysnippy · 21/09/2014 23:31

Nice trousers, in the picture they look a bit more mustard than spring bright yellow, I think you could get away with them for winter. I also agree with SDTG more bright colours needed in winter. I personally have bought a red pair from Reiss for this winter .

BikeRunSki · 21/09/2014 23:34

I think those would be fab in winter.

minkah · 21/09/2014 23:38

Those trousers will be excellent in winter. Really good with black, dark blue, or chocolate brown, or white, or neutrals.

They're really fab.

burnishedsilver · 21/09/2014 23:44

My first thought was that it would be a bit rupert the bear but actually they are quite nice. I think if the fabric is heavy enough they will work for winter but not if the fabric is light.

minkah · 22/09/2014 00:30

Definitely don't wear them with a red jumper and a yellow scarf!

Though you could wear them with clip on furry ears.

cardoon · 22/09/2014 07:35

Oh good, more yesses, planning on wearing mainly with navy.

Will look really good. Nice choice. Hope you enjoy them.

raspberryslush · 22/09/2014 11:34

I think they are a great choice with a darker neutral on top. You will be a bit chilly in the Winter (perfect for this weather though).
No colour restrictions on what you can wear in each season.

cardoon · 22/09/2014 13:25

yes, I think winter probably a bit ambitious.....

....and glad to see it's only pink that will think me eccentric Wink

I think it can look good with a wintery top.

Does my bum look 40 blog has some pics of her wearing yellow trousers in autumn / winter:

here

and here

beachywaves · 22/09/2014 17:57

Really sorry, but I concur with pink. Yellow trousers are like green tights - eccentric/weird.

AtlanticDrift · 22/09/2014 18:11

I was wearing yellow trousers today, with navy blouse with a bird print. The yellow is a gold/mustard yellow as opposed to a sunshine or lemony yellow.

ocelot41 · 23/09/2014 07:02

I like to see a bit of colour in the winter - cheers us all up. Wear what makes you feel good OP!

Milllie · 23/09/2014 10:45

Yellow seems to be everywhere this winter, in all its various shades. So just have a look at how the stylists in some of the shops have done it. I even saw lots of yellow in Tesco last night. Looked ok actually.
