Got my hair cut back into a bob - haven't had one for about 7 years. Really pleased with it and wow, it's so much easier to style.

Also found lots of great clothes in "Fat Face" which I am happy to wear now I no longer actually have a fat face !

I don't usually like their stuff, but found lots of lovely stuff in there yesterday - just right for the mature student who needs to look trendy without the mutton/lamb analogy.

When are you starting?
I am registering tomorrow.

(Are you target weight yet? God,you must feel soooooooo great!)

Thanks daisy, I lost a lot of confidence in myself when I put on a great deal of weight a few years ago (in the wake of a very difficult bereavement), so this feels like a fresh new start and putting the past behind me at last .

My thoughts too Puff.Who knows, come tomorrow,I may be drinking cider and black out of plastic pint pots, smoking rollies and stamping along to 'Hi Ho silver lining' before copping off with a wood scientist....................

puff · 26/09/2006 09:08

Um, I'm keeping the specifics of it quiet cos it's v specialised and I'm a bit worried someone might guess who I am !

But it's something I've wanted to do for years. Hoping to end up working in one of the big London museums, with some travel abroad thrown in to work on specific projects.

md, I'm not target weight yet - can't shift this last stone, but hoping it will come off because I'll be sooooooooooo busy and of course ignoring the handmade pasty shop I pass when I change trains in the morning!
