I have this dress. It's for an autumn wedding. I am a size 14 and will be wearing with tights.

I have these shoes

I have nothing else and no idea. Any thought? Please?

Anything has to be an improvement on how it's styled on the website! It's a lovely dress but they haven't exactly shown it to advantage. footless tights? is it 2004?

What about a metallic/glittery blazer and chunky bangles? Not sure about the shoes - I would actually stick within a colour palette of silver/grey with this because the lace detailing is so lovely - it seems a shame to detract attention away from it. For the same reason I would avoid necklaces.

I know what you mean about the styling. It actually fits me really nicely and isn't so sack like. It took me a while to see it on the website on that model styled like it is!

I actually love the shoes with the dress. I wouldn't add any more jewellery, or any other colour. I also think a blazer would look too structured with the dress and would go for a drapey grey cardigan or wrap type thing. I would wear my hair up simply done as the star of the show here is the dress itself.
Have fun Grin

Expedititition · 21/09/2014 10:32

I'm so glad you like the dress! So you think just the shoes and no other pink anywhere else?

OP posts:
baskingseals · 21/09/2014 11:26

I would otherwise you get into matchy matchy territory. I think if the dress was plainer you might need a bit more, but it says enough on its own, IMHO. Have you thought about bags?

Expedititition · 21/09/2014 13:19

I possess no bags. Not one.

Nice dress. It would be lovely with a little faux fur jacket/capelet in pale grey. I'm not convinced by the shoes though, sorry.

Jacket

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 21/09/2014 13:26

Pretty clutch Would be nice and vintage looking with the dress - a bit flapper-ish.

Twinklestein · 21/09/2014 15:25

Def not those shoes. I'd go with pewter, dark grey, sliver or black shoes.

Dune

Mint Velvet (bit boring)

Marabou shrug

Twinklestein · 21/09/2014 15:27

Silver beaded clutch

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 21/09/2014 16:41

I like the 'boring' ones but ouch to the price!

Expedititition · 21/09/2014 18:33

Thank you so much everyone. I'm not sure if I want to cover the dress with a jacket. Do I need to? I don't get cold easily. October wedding. Church then hotel. I don't want to spend money and then not wear it!

OP posts:
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 21/09/2014 18:36

Sleeveless in October a bit optimistic, I think.

Expedititition · 21/09/2014 19:24

Ok. I'm loving the fluff!

OP posts:
Twinklestein · 21/09/2014 21:16

No sleeves on October? Shock

I would wear a shrug to the church and then take it off for the reception.

I love the Mint Velvet shoes, but I thought they might be a bit sober. Not so keen on the Dune ones but they're more fancy.

Better value suggestions:

20s vibe

peep toe

very cheap

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 21/09/2014 21:22

I've posted these before, but if you are feeling rich I think they would be beautiful with your dress.

Expedititition · 22/09/2014 07:35

Thanks everyone. So so we think no jewellery?

OP posts:
Twinklestein · 22/09/2014 10:34

Definitely jewellery because it's quite a plain dress. Dark red would look nice with the grey, or a dark red clutch.
