I am not at all stylish or fashionable, but I really need some new boots. I live in boots year round because I'm really badly hypermobile and it's the only kind of footwear I can walk normally in, but my previous pair have been dying the death since May and have now given up the ghost completely. I was going to get them resoled to make them last out the year but I've now discovered a tear as well and it's just not worth it.
Due to budget constraints I've had really crappy cheap non leather 'fashion' boots for the last few years that fall apart in three months, but I'm sick of it so going to scrounge together some cash for something a bit better quality. Hopefully that also means I can get something that's a bit nice and fun! (for me, that is, I feel a little out of place here on S&B with my broke postgrad student style and matching budget...) Left to my own devices I'll probably end up with something plain and black and perfectly functional but dull, and I find myself actually quite wanting something a bit more interesting.
I would like leather knee high boots. Because of the hypermobility, they need to give decent ankle support, so I can't wear slouchy boots, and they can't be pull on style - must be zipped or laced, with a low or medium heel. Block heels are also better than narrow ones because on those I just wobble and fall over. Black would probably be the most versatile, but I'm not averse to the idea of other colours. Budget somewhere around £100, maybe a bit more if I really like them.
Thanks for any help :)
