What can I wear with a cropped tan leather jacket?

I have a gorgeous Patrick Cox dark tan cropped leather jacket. It is beautiful! I have worn it once . I have no idea what to wear with it. Sound daft, but I am really struggling. Colours, hemlines of tops, shoes. I'm stuck. Help!!

What sort of thing do you normally wear?

Cropped leather jackets look great with long, streamlined dresses. Something like this would work well.

I'd wear it with -
skinnies and a longline top
black miniskirt/dress and black opaques (love black and tan)
opaques and jumper dress
full midi skirts with fitted tops tucked in
tube skirts - mini or midi

I like the kind of dress that Tethers linked to, but they do tend to show every bump (unless I'm just not looking at the right ones)

I'm a bit of an uncoordinated mess! I have nice stuff, but never put it together and end up just wearing the same things. That, plus a spending ban, has prompted me to really make use of what I have.

Thanks for the ideas! I have quite a lot of black, and some monochrome mini skirts. So that's a good start. Love the dress tethers! But that would mean Spending. And. I. Must. Not.

Reading my OP, it sounds daft. But sometimes I just get stuck with something and don't know where to go with it. Sadly, I am not one of life's natural outfit creators.
