If you have spots how do you stop them looking black when you put make up on them ?

I've tried a few concealer and foundations (will only wear powder)

Right now I'm using benefit boing and Mac studio fix . No matter what I use my spots always look black underneath , like old blood scab black . How do I stop this from happening ?Sad

I tend to get a similar problem when I have very inflamed acne. My skin is pale and the spots can be dark red. When I put concealer on it can look purple. I think it's the combination of pigments in the skin and the product that make it look like that, even though the concealer colour is right for my skin. I find it's less of a problem if I wear proper heavy duty concealer like dermablend.
