Ah remember the days.... went through an entire winter wearing shorts and tights in the early nineties

remember some v. dodgy floral dungaree shorts in amongst the cooler ones though!!!

Would I wear it? Wish i ahd the guts. Legs are my best feature, and I have a mini upstairs that I wer with thick tigts (trying to get confidence to qear to Uni, where the Young People are), but shorts... probably not, something a bit page £ hot pants about them

Had red ones too- also dungarees- why oh why oh why

there were some non dungaree ones, but TBH equally as nasty- leather imo much better!

Best friends always wore shiny lycra minis with leggings and boots four inches high, so frankly could have worn nothing and still faded into the background LOL!

mythumbelinas · 25/09/2006 16:32

is there a seperate thread about hotpants?? .. i used to wear them to college black ones, floral ones from kookai .. with opague tights

PeachyClairHasBadHair · 25/09/2006 16:38

i had lots of pairs of leggings too .. my sis nicked my best pair tho!! lycra skirts .. and not coz i was confident .. it was just the thing to wear .. wouldn't have been caught dead in a long skirt then .. all changed now ...

Tutter · 25/09/2006 16:51

lol sue.

agreed - unless you are a catwalk model or you want to look like a slapper, you should only wear minis with thick-ish tights. one of my staple outfits during pregnancy was a shortish denim skirt with burgundy/chocolate tights and big (frye) boots.

I think it's very 1981 I can remember wearing shorts with tights and boots quite clearly in teh winter of 81

suejoneziscalmernow · 25/09/2006 17:07

actually Tutter - would quite like to look like a slapper. Currently my fashion look blurs the line between accountant and mumsy.

HIJACK ALERT Walked through your estate yesterday Tutter with Fatfox and her DC's. We had fun taking into the periscope-y satellite dishy things.

Joolstoo · 25/09/2006 17:10

if I were blind I might wear it

by mistake

Tutter · 25/09/2006 17:11

"estate" sue? "estate"?!

took me ages to figure out what they were. some architect paid £squillions to come up with all the little artsy fartsy corners of the (ahem) Development

can't wait to leave - house on market - it's just waaaay too stepford wives...

OP posts:
Tutter · 25/09/2006 17:13

anyway

my link is a cool look

enough people have agreed that i think i can dismiss all other views

shame i'm 35 and a couple of sizes too big to get away with it

OP posts:
suejoneziscalmernow · 25/09/2006 17:13

I did giggle to myself when I typed "Estate" but couldn;t be arsed to type "exclusive gated development of executive houses and apartments by the lovely banks of the river thames"

suejoneziscalmernow · 25/09/2006 17:15

ANOTHER HIJACK ALERT on a similar note Tutter, my sister has a beautiful big georgian house on the Isle of wight, grounds, swimming pool , tennis court, orchard.

My mum refers to it as "the caravan"

My sisters face is a picture!

fullmoonfiend · 25/09/2006 17:19

God, put black biker boots with that ensemble and that is what I used to wear in my 20s...sigh...
