Long, fine textured hair but thick/loads of it.

Need some ideas!?!

I would leave it. It's a beautiful colour.

It's beautiful, and a fab colour. I'd not chop it.

Maybe learn how to style it into some easy quick chignons etc.

Ah. Thank you for the nice comments! I sometimes wonder if it's too long for my late thirties age and if I actually look frumpy. Maybe I should keep it as it is.

Why do I have the urge to go shorter ?? Like this

The shorter hair is nice but it is a Mumbob.

Your hair is really fab for late 30s .
I'd have put you at least 10 years younger.

Enjoy it when you can- greying at temples here!

I would focus on learning how to do different styles, rather than cutting it all off. It would take years to grow back if you didn't like it.

Plus long hair is just so versatile. What no-one tells you is that for long bobs like that, you have to style the fuck out of them, otherwise they just hang there looking ugly and horrible.

I have similar hair to yours, and had it cut really short (not a pixie but still). It's now at the long bob stage and I really can't recommend it. It's too short to put into any sort of nice hairstyle (like plaits or buns or whatever), but long enough to annoy the fuck out of me!

I'm basically just waiting for it to grow. I'd love to grow it to just below my boobs, but I know - depressingly, that it's going to take years to get that long.

I would leave it. Looks great as it is. I am actually jealous Grin

Without seeing your face nobody can say whether your hair suits you or would look better shorter. Those saying don't cut it, do you assume everybody looks better with long hair?

Paddingtonthebear · 17/09/2014 20:03

I'm not brave enough to show my face! This photo is actually of half of my hair pulled over my face, rather than a picture taken of the back of my head Grin. It was easier to take it that way. I do have a few layers at the front and plenty of hidden grey hairs Wink

Thanks for the input. I think a bob will need a bit more effort than I'm prepared to give, I don't blow dry it very often because I'm a bit lazy so I'm probably better off leaving it as it is.
