Outfit Idea's for night out - will be 9 months pregnant

We are going out for MIL's 50th birthday at the end of next month and I am trying to find something new to wear. I will be 9 months pregnant so its not a particularly easy task.

Have found some tops I really like on Isabella Oliver website, I like the Halter Neck and the Bandeau. My boobs have got quite big, currently a 36e so not sure the halter neck is a good idea.

I would've loved a dress but noticed this morning my calves have got a bit chunky so maybe trousers are a better option.

HELP ME!!!

Will it be formal? I love the long strapless dress on IO.

Thomcat · 25/09/2006 11:09

I wore the boob tube wrap round top from IO and wore with these soft jersey knee length cullotte things and knee length black boots. If you felt too booby or bare on top you could wear a little crop cardi over the top or optfor the long slv ballet top from IO. Both look ok when you're not pregnant.

Basically anything from IO is lovley and you don't have to step foot utside the house.

Have a look at Dorothy Perkins site. I'd link but it doesn't take you to the actual items.
When you go onto their site it asks you for your email and you can get 20% off.

Ohhh and Debenham have this fab new maternity range. Something Butterfly or something???? Looks lovely.

cupcakes · 25/09/2006 11:14

I love the sound of the outfit Thomcat wore. I really like the top. It's similar to this one that Anna Friel wore, non?

cupcakes · 25/09/2006 11:16

Is that the Matthew Williamson Butterfly range?

Thomcat · 25/09/2006 11:26

yes that's the range, and yes the top is similar to AF but wasn't shiny and wraps round the bump a lot more. She looks fab in that pic.

I'll lend you mine if you like?

FoghornLeghorn · 25/09/2006 11:38

Was hoping you would see this TC as i remember you getting the bandeau top so wondered what your opinion was on it.

I like the idea of waering with crop trews, could either do boots or heels then.

Thanmks for the very kind offer TC but would be terrified of damaging it, knowing my luck someone would spill something over it.

It's black, anything spilt on it would be cleaned off. I don't mind you borowing it if you want, up to you.

Shame Debs don't do that range online it looks fab.

FoghornLeghorn · 25/09/2006 11:50

Cupcakes - sorry, didn't mean to ignore you. Wont be formal as such, more smart casual.
I like the silk wrap top on topshop website but not sure what it would go with ? is that more the sort of thing to wear with jeans ?

God, im crap at this dressing whilst pregnant thing

Yeah do that then. If you find something meantime fair do's but you have mine to fall back on if needs be. I can send you the soft jersey cullotte thigs as well if you like. Just let me know nearer the time.

FoghornLeghorn · 26/09/2006 09:33
