White Stuff cranberry crush

It is a bit pinker than it looks on the screen though

I would be wearing it with either grey or navy tights and tan boots

I would prefer an all over pattern, and not a skinny scarf

I am a spots/check/stripe kind of person, rather than a skulls/deer/foxes if you know what I mean!

Budget about 50

Hope someone can help!

dont match - go contrast

HiawathaDidntBotherTooMuch · 15/09/2014 09:30

I have no idea what would contrast, given the rest of the intended outfit lord

I have only ever taken a colour and looked for a scarf that had some of that in it eg I have bought [[
www.whitestuff.com/womens/skirts/green-pansy-mad-hatter-skirt/
any suggestions gratefully received this skirt]] and intend to wear it with a grey over sized sweater, opaques and, again, the tan boots and this scarf

all suggestions gratefully received!

(hope the links work)

Navy/teal blue, olive, or mustard would all go well with that dress.

tipsyloolah · 15/09/2014 10:26

Do you like dragonflies? I have one I think is that colour but maybe dragonflies fall into the skulls/deer/foxes category!

HiawathaDidntBotherTooMuch · 15/09/2014 10:50

I think I could like dragonflies tipsy! A bit out there for me, but maybe I should live more dangerously!

I'll try and take a pic but I'm not great at that sort of thing Confused . . .

tipsyloolah · 15/09/2014 10:56

There is very miserable Scottish light here today but I think it is a sort of raspberry/cranberry colour . . .

I need a biggish scarf with THIS colour in it please
HiawathaDidntBotherTooMuch · 15/09/2014 11:16

That's a nice scarf tipsy. I think the dress is more pinky. I also think I need a scarf with a little bit of the cranberry type colour, rather than that being the main colour, as otherwise it might be overload. Thanks for going to the effort though.

Good luck Smile . . .

TortoiseUpATreeAgain · 15/09/2014 11:24

Perhaps? Although thistles might count as foxes.

TortoiseUpATreeAgain · 15/09/2014 11:26

I assume that you've already rejected the Secret Birdy scarf that the model is wearing on the basis that it's too birdy.

TortoiseUpATreeAgain · 15/09/2014 11:31

Banana Republic

TortoiseUpATreeAgain · 15/09/2014 11:32

Ah, the perfect suggestion... Grin [sorry]

VeryLittleGravitasIndeed · 15/09/2014 11:33

I think these kinds of colours would work with that cherry colour. If you wanted to contrast?

TortoiseUpATreeAgain · 15/09/2014 11:34

Too flowery
Too birdy

VeryLittleGravitasIndeed · 15/09/2014 11:36

Or this if you wanted a bit more traditional...?

spiderlight · 15/09/2014 11:37

There are a few here that have the right colour in (Moroccan, Aztec, and the Navah in navy) but they might not be big enough.

spiderlight · 15/09/2014 11:39

*Navaho

HiawathaDidntBotherTooMuch · 15/09/2014 11:55

Tortoise I absolutely love the thistles. It look a beautiful quality scarf for the money. I think the description of the WS dress as cranberry crush is misleading though, as none of the items on other sites which are described as cranberry are anything like the same colour. The WS dress is more of a raspberry/cherry, I'd say. Unfortunately, the thistles scarf is more of an orange (well, on my monitor anyway) and as there is only grey and the cranberry in the scarf, I think it will look too much of a mis-match.

The Hobbs scarf in John Lewis is an excellent match colour wise I think. It isn't too flowery for me at all. I am going to order it for delivery to my local Waitrose and see.

If not, obvious clashing may be the way to go!

Very I see what you mean! I probably need to seriously update my look.

spider yes, those scarves in Fat Face are too small. I think a scarf that I can plump up quite a lot. Happy to pay a bit more on that basis as I find that cheaper scarves tend to be narrower (rather than shorter).

Thanks very much all.

HiawathaDidntBotherTooMuch · 15/09/2014 13:23

Found this one too here. They have lots of nice scarves actually :D

WowWowSauce · 15/09/2014 17:56

There are a few scarves on the white stuff site that look like they have similar colours - [http://www.whitestuff.com/accessories/womens-accessories/scarves/navy-herringbone-border-scarf/ how does this look?] - that one doesn't ahve a lot of the pinky colour though. Not sure if it's what you're looking for really.
[http://www.whitestuff.com/accessories/womens-accessories/scarves/navy-rennie-oversized-pom-pom-scarf/ This one] only has pinky pom poms.
