Cream boxy sweater with a little bit of swing.

In short, I want one. I have a picture in my head of a slouchy, boxy sweater with a bit of movement around the hem i.e., not close-fitting to the hips. It needs to fall to hip height - certainly past the waist but not tunic-length. Its to be worn over skinnies with ankle boots or a very structured heavy-weight A line skirt with brogues. In my head it is cream or an ivory - as plain as possible but a subtle cable may be acceptable. Not a V neck, could be a roll neck if not too tight. I am 12 on top and a 14 on the bottom hence needing a touch more volume o even things out.

This is the closest I can find so far but it ain't right

But where is it, my Virtual Friends. I have only one afternoon to shop so I need a hitlist for trying on or else I shall just have to order and return, order and return. Boden has nothing although they had something not too far off last year and I didn't go for it - curses. Hush - nope. M&S - nope. Uniqlo - nope. Where do I go for knitwear?

I'm wearing one right now - got it earlier in the year from Mango.

ShutUpLegs · 14/09/2014 19:53

But is it still in stock Amethyst or do I have to stalk you and snatch it from your back?

I just bought this this afternoon, found it in TK Maxx for £16.99. They had in black and white, although the white is definitely an off-white, more of a cream/ivory. It looks swingier on me than it does on the model weirdly. Worth a rummage maybe?

ShutUpLegs · 14/09/2014 20:12

I like it maybe but its too short. I did a good look at &OtherStories online and didn't see anything I liked.

I am getting distracted by this skirt whilst looking through Mango.

This was not supposed to seduce me away from sweaters.

Me and Em have a couple of pricey possibilities, inc. this

Mwah mwah Charitygirl1 Thank you

That is right along the lines that I am thinking of - even if the budget makes me faint. It could be a leetle longer in the front - or maybe its the way the model is standing. I am just not sure I can justify the £££.

You are closest to the mark so far style-wise.....

I was going to suggest Me&Em. Hush also have some cream jumpers - some of which are a bit cheaper.

ShutUpLegs · 15/09/2014 16:15

I didn't see that one when I browsed Hush before - I like that it has wool. I just go for 100% cotton in the winter - I need more warmth

Its only just a bit cheaper!!!!

I can't do you a link right now but I got one from Baukjen, that you can easily find - cream, boxy jumpers are where it's at atm. Zara has one too but its not yet available, you can go on a waiting list, but the quality may well be shocking.

ShutUpLegs · 15/09/2014 16:16

Too beige?

Areyouthere are you saying I have my finger on the fashion pulse? Please say that you are! Or am I distressingly sheep-like?

Love your name - I remember reading that book waaaay back in the day. The librarian phoned my Mum to say that she was concerned about me taking it out. I was 7. My Mum said it was fine as I would have no idea what any of it was about. She was right.

Well if you are a sheep, I am a sheep - but since you have been so nice about my name I say we are both pulsetastic. Impressed at your mum, I wouldn't let my 7 yo read it yet, or my 9 yo come to that, though if she stumbled across my worn copy I'd let her.

Let us know what you think re the Baukjen, I can vouch it's very nice, though I haven't yet had a chance to wear it in the warm weather.

Milmingebag · 15/09/2014 16:57

Woolovers moss stitch jumper. Lightweight and warm and very flattering.

ShutUpLegs · 16/09/2014 21:53

Ooh Milmingebag Thats a mad site. I will browse. Many thanks.

You have all been very quiet about my skirt link, though....
