Looking for a good pair of black 7/8 trousers

and it's really tricky. Many of the supposed 7/8s are too short; I want some that will make me look tres chic. So basically well-cut, just above the ankle and preferably flat-fronted. Any ideas?

Try Mint velvet - they had some capris like that - I've got the dark grey ones.
or Boden Bistro trousers.

They've also brought out some 'ankle grazer' ones. Not tried them yet

In the past I've got this type of thing from Reiss. I haven't looked recently, but might be worth a go.

Gap tailored crops or slim crops

I tried the Gap tailored crops last weekend and found them too loose, almost boot cut. They didn't have any of the others in store but online the ultra skinny looks great. I have some from Zara which I like the shape of but they're quite polyester heavy.
